Lucys Birthday

Lucy Belles birthday was a festive occasion - lots of cake, champagne, flowers, beautiful balloons and dear freinds that helped us celebrate in style.

Wiggleworm

Lucy Belle attended her first Wiggleworm class today and the teacher was most grateful to have Lucy's assistance with her guitar playing.

In the weeks leading up to her first birthday, Lucy Belle was pleasantly surprised to receive an early birthday present - a red wagon. She has decided this mode of transport is far more fun than any other and now refuses to get in her pram and the baby sling - happy days ahead!

Eating habits of Lucy Belle

Lucy Belle has a variety of eating habits - with no rhyme or reason as to which one she will decide to use at a particular meal time. Some of her scenarios include:

1) throw the food straight on the floor without even looking at it,

2) press food really hard into hi-chair tabletop

3) squish the food between fingers

4) eat and smile (very rare at the moment)

5) eat one, throw one

6) drop food discreetly between legs onto floor (just so mum can't see)

7) known as the hoover and involves eating food straight off table top with her mouth

aaaaarrrrrrgggggghhh!

A Day at the Beach

Everything was going swimmingly till Lucy decided to run away. 'Come back little one' her mother cried after her, but Lucy decided to keep going - she had a big and exciting world to discover.

Sign Language

Sign Language is an effective way for babies to communicate before they start talking. Lucy has rejected the more mainstream signs and started to develop her own, such as her feet up on the table - 'no more dinner please mum!'

Having Fun with the Mini Gym

Today it was chilly and Lucy decided it was best we spend the day indoors. After playing under the dining room table, helping her mum make cupcakes (and eating them) and destroying a roll of toilet paper - she made use of the mini gym for a short while. She is a very busy little girl and only stopped briefly so we could take this shot.

Our Courtyard

Our courtyard is the perfect haven for Lucy with enough space for her own pool. Unfortunately at the moment she prefers to climb out of the pool and eat the moss that is growing between the bricks - we are certain that in time this will change and she will enjoy the benefits of being able to splash around on a hot summers day. Here is a picture of her and her dad on one such day.

Life in Chicago

Life in Chicago is going pretty well for Lucy at the moment. Each day holds an adventure, whether it be a visit to the water park, the zoo, the beach or shopping with her mother. Her dad is busy earning the money that allows her to do all of this. Here is a picture of her in her first pair of sunnies.
